I grew up as a normal kid in South Jackson, MS.  My mom would take me to church and I thought I was a Christian. During my teenage years, I started drinking and smoking weed. After dropping out of college, I opened a bar at our family restaurant and hotel. Debbie and I met and dated during this time.  I was living a night club lifestyle that was out of control.  Our family business closed around the same time Debbie and I went our separate ways.  I didn't know if I would ever see her again.

I moved to Brandon and got married.  I would have called myself a Christian but did not have a relationship with God.  I had quite the drug habit and made the round of night clubs regularly.  I was a functioning alcoholic.  After a night of drinking, I had a wreck injuring two young girls traveling home for Christmas.

I wound up in Rankin County jail.  Finding myself in a place where no man or money could help me, I cried out to Jesus. During my two year stay, my relationship with Jesus grew.  While there I became friends with a young narcotics investigator named Bryan Bailey.  I did not know he would one day be Sheriff.

I was released from jail in 1996 by which time I had lost everything, my home, wife, and children.  While slowly rebuilding my life, I met Debbie again.  During the 18 years we were married, we both got involved in church outreach and grew in our relationship with the Lord. Through the Lord's leading, and  the broken people He put in our path, All Things New Ministry, was birthed. We lost Debbie to Covid on December 31, 2020. Although that was  the most difficult time in my life, God was faithful to heal, restore and grow this ministry. And, All Things New continues to grow each year.
